When it comes to designing a cozy and personal living space, there’s one item that effortlessly combines form and function: the coffee table book. It’s the perfect way to add a bit of personality to your space and give your guests something beautiful to flip through.
While I have my fair share of photography and design books, I’ve noticed that some of my absolute favorites are actually…cookbooks! There’s just something so inviting about a book that celebrates good food and great company.
In this post, I’m sharing some of my favorite coffee table books that not only look cute on display but are also great to flip through!
my favorite Coffee Table Books
The Wes Anderson Collection By Matt Zoller Seitz
It’s no secret that my style is heavily inspired by Wes Anderson. I can’t explain the joy I feel while watching any of his works, and I love giving nods to his style throughout the house.
The Wes Anderson Collection book is filled with previously unpublished behind-the-scenes photos, original artwork, storyboards, and ephemera from the films. You get to see how the worlds of movies like The Royal Tenenbaums and The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou were constructed, from the earliest ideas to the final product.
Buy NowThe Big Night Cookbook By Katherine Lewin
I love absolutely everything about the Big Night cookbook. If you aren’t familiar, Big Night is a dinner party shop in NYC. The book is full of delightful recipes and hosting tips. It has big time coffee table energy.
Recipes we love: the party mix, grilled chicken sandwiches, pigs in a blanket with fig jam, french onion dip

If you aren’t familiar with Dan Pelosi (aka Grossy Pelosi), then welcome! He’s a true delight, bringing joy from his kitchen to your phone with his daily stories.
Don’t miss his latest cookbook Let’s Party— it’s a testament to his love for his friends and family. The book is an invitation to celebrate the simple moments in life, breaking down the art of hosting into something approachable and fun.
Buy NowLet’s Eat by Dan Pelosi
While Let’s Party is all about celebrating special occasions with a crowd, Dan’s first collection of recipes in Let’s Eat focuses on the everyday meals that nourish us and bring us closer to our loved ones.
It’s charming in every way possible, including the page dedicated to his mom’s cleaning tips!
Buy NowAccidentally Wes ANderson by Wally & Amanda Koval
Another Wes Anderson-inspired book, but this one focuses more on visuals.
Accidentally Wes Anderson is a visual travelogue that takes the distinctive, quirky, and symmetrical aesthetic of Wes Anderson’s films and finds it in the real world. It originated from a hugely popular Instagram account created by Wally Koval, who curated photos submitted by people from all over the globe.
Buy NowHumans Of New York By Brandon Stanton
Ok, so the cover isn’t the prettiest thing I have ever seen. But this book is such a fun read!
Based on the massively popular blog, this book combines candid street portraits of New Yorkers with short, compelling stories from their lives. It’s a deeply human and empathetic book that’s perfect for browsing and sparking conversations.
Buy Nowde Gournay Hand-Painted Interiors
If pretty is what you are after, the de Gournay Hand-Painted Interiors book is for you. It’s delightful.
De Gournay is renowned for its commitment to traditional, hand-painted techniques, and the book highlights this. It provides a glimpse into the painstaking process of creating these wall coverings, which can take a team of skilled artisans months to complete. Each piece is a unique work of art, and the book does an excellent job of conveying this level of craftsmanship and detail.
Buy NowThe Book Of Citrus Fruits
Oh my, I really love this book. If you are familiar with my Instagram account then you have seen it a lot– this the book that I pulled the 8 prints from to hang!
While there’s really not much to read in it, the images are beautiful and BONUS! you can frame some for your walls and still have plenty left in the book.
It’s on pre-order for now– a new edition is coming out in November.
