Designing our kitchen was actually a pretty straightforward process. We started with two ideas: the color Card Room Green and fruit wallpaper by Morris & Co.
From there, I created an inspiration board on Canva and started adding pieces I liked– various lighting options, tile, counters, etc. Using Canva made it so easy to see how things went together.
Kitchen Inspiration
The kitchen design was inspired by English cottage kitchens. We tried to lean into that by incorporating lighting by DeVol in the design and faucets inspired by theirs. While we loved Devol’s aged brass faucets, we liked InsideEast’s price tag more. This was a good area to save!
We did the same for stools. We loved their bum stools but found a similar-looking option for a much better price. Our stools are called Euro Style Vieno Counter Stools and are available at several online shops (Burke Decor, Wayfair, Houzz…) We purchased ours from Nieman Marcus because they had the best price at the time.
